A Council’s Delegation in Italy for the Figs Festival in Bari

Between Friday 27th and Tuesday 31st August 2010, the Xaghra Local Council is on an official visit in Italy for a meeting of European villages and cities which produce figs as one of their typical products. The councils of Giungano and Carmignano will also be present.

A talent show by the Xaghra Local Council

On Saturday 21st August, the last Saturday of devotion in honour of Our Lady of Victories, the Xaghra Local Council organised a talent show for the Xaghra children and adolescents. This evening was aimed at exposing the local talents of singing and dancing.

Historical Marian Pilgrimage with the titular statue of Our Lady of Victories

The Xaghra Parish will celebrate with great solemnity the 2025th Anniversary of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a historical Pilgrimage with the titular statue of Our Lady of Victories, venerated with special devotion in the Xaghra Collegiate Basilica.

State Funeral of President Emeritus Guido De Marco: Condolescences from the Xaghra Local Council
|
The State Funeral of President Emeritus Guido De Marco will be held on Monday 16th August. Guido passed to eternal life on Thursday 12th August at around 4.20pm.
The lifeless body of the President Emeritus will be exposed for a public salute at the Presidental Palace in Valletta on Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning.
