A project financed by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union

From Tuesday 31st October to Friday 3rd November 2017, the Xaghra Local Council hosted a delegation of fifty people from the localities of Mergo in Italy and Chevaigné in France as part of a programme of activities to commemorate the existing twinning agreement between these three villages. The foreign delegation visited several places of historical interest around Xaghra and Gozo including the Ggantija Temples, Ta’ Kola Windmill, Xerri’s Grotto, Ninu’s Cave, the Citadel, Dwejra and others. A conference with the participation of two speakers from MUESAC was held on Wednesday 1st November at the Xagħra Youth Centre. These activities were funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union.
