On Thursday 26th July 2012, the Xagħra Local Council organised the annual cultural outing on the occasion of the feast of Saint Anne and Saint Joachim, parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

A Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 25th July 2012 at 5.30pm at the Local Council’s administrative offices in 8th September Avenue. The agenda is as follows:
1. Opening prayer;
2. Reading and approval of Council minutes of last meeting;
3. Mayor’s communications including the outing for children to Malta, the cultural activity ‘Xagħra Rocks’ [...]
The main aim of the folklore group from Xaghra “ Ta’ Verna” is to promote the Maltese folk music both in Malta and abroad. This group had been formed about eight years ago and it originally started from the traditional dance of Kumittiva.
